There is not a flower that opens, not a seed that falls into the ground, and not an ear of wheat that nods on the end of its stalk in the wind that does not preach and proclaim the greatness and the mercy of God to the whole world
The author went onto describe different parts of nature and how enjoyable they are. A stroll through the woods is an adventure in the ideas of God. Each tree, each leaf is unique within His creative expression of love. Through His work we are given a glimpse, if even the smallest glimpse, into how the divine thinks. And just as our love for our children makes much of their art, so too does our love for God make much of His.
Some people, in order to discover God, read books. But there is a great book: the very appearance of created things. Look above you! Look below you! Read it. God, whom you want to discover, never wrote that book with ink. Instead He set before your eyes the things that He had made. Can you ask for a louder voice than that? —
There is no peace more wonderful than the peace we enjoy when faith shows us God in all created things. —
Earth is crammed with heaven
And every bush aflame with God
But only those who see take off their shoes.—
