Nathan and Jade were married in a small country church surrounded by a loving group of family and friends. At the wedding they shared twenty-five big dreams with those who knew them best. They asked that their friends and family pray for them that they might be obedient to follow God wherever He asked them to go. After Maddix and Sophie were born they began to talk about adoption. God called them to adopt from Uganda, Africa and in 2010 they welcomed Ezra into their family. In July of 2011 God spoke to Nathan about his ministry. In the tabernacle at their local family campground Nathan accepted the call to full time ministry. The Metz family immediately began to pray and prepare for the changes certain to come. A year later they were blessed once again by the gift of adoption and in May of 2012 they celebrated the addition of newborn Ruby Ann. Over the last year Nathan has finished his academic work and the whole family has been excitedly waiting to see where God might lead them next. What an amazing journey it has been!
Nathan’s favorite moments are the quiet ones. He loves sweet tea, good books and a nice lawn chair in the shade. His passion for preaching and teaching the Word drive Him. God’s work in Nathan’s life has been nothing short of miraculous.
Jade is an experienced encourager. She can often be found curled up on the couch writing a note of support to a friend in need. God has gifted Jade with a compassionate heart and a determination that fuels her whole family. Her life is a testimony to the loving and powerful redemption of Jesus Christ.
Maddix is a smarty-pants. She loves reading and helping other to learn. Sophie is the funniest little girl with a constant smile on her face. God put such a soft and caring heart in Sophie and we love her for that. Ezra is one tough dude who is certain about his status as ‘super-hero’. He loves fishing with grandpa, wrestling with daddy and hugging with mommy. Ruby is a giggling, walking, babbling bundle of beauty. The Metz family is blessed!
